Guy F. Marcozzi, P.E. Elected President of Duffield Associates

June 1, 2008 - Guy F. Marcozzi, P.E. was elected President of Duffield Associates by the firm's Board of Directors. He will succeed Jeffrey M. Bross, P.E. who will continue as Chair of the firm's Board of Directors and Executive Committee. Mr. Marcozzi has been with Duffield Associates since 1984 and has held positions including Geotechnical Group Leader, Vice President of Project Management and, most recently, Director of Operations. Outgoing President Jeff Bross said "Guy's broad technical experience, extensive community and professional involvement, and commitment to our clients make him an excellent choice to lead Duffield Associates in the coming years."

Mr. Marcozzi has practiced in civil, geotechnical and structural engineering for over 20 years. His experience includes geotechnical and structural evaluations, transportation projects, infrastructure design, sustainable design and construction.

He was selected as the Young Engineer of the Year 2000 by the Delaware Engineering Society and is currently President of the Delaware Association of Professional Engineers, Delaware's engineering licensing board. Mr. Marcozzi previously served as the Chair of the Delaware Association of Professional Engineer's Law Enforcement and Ethics Committee. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees for the Sanford School and serves on the New Castle County Chamber Government Affairs Committee. He is also a member of the ASFE National Emerging Issues and Trends Committee recently publishing guidelines for environmentally sustainable practices for engineering firms.

Mr. Marcozzi has a Masters degree in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from the University of Delaware. He is a registered Professional Engineer in nine states.

Thomas J. Halliwell, P.E., LEED-A.P. Joins Duffield Associates

May 8, 2008 - Thomas J. Halliwell, P.E., LEED-A.P. has joined Duffield Associates' Philadelphia Office. Mr. Halliwell has over eight years of experience in civil/site design and water resource engineering for commercial, residential, and institutional developments. He will be responsible for civil/site development projects and detailed stormwater modeling and design.

Mr. Halliwell is a registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania and North Carolina. He is also an accredited professional under the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) Leadership in Environmental and Energy Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System.

Mr. Halliwell received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Drexel University.

Michael J. Kaszyski, Jr., P.E. Joins Duffield Associates

July 11, 2007 - Michael J. Kaszyski, Jr., P.E. has joined Duffield Associates as Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager in the Wilmington office. The Water Resources Group provides engineering and natural resources consulting services to public and private clients. Mr. Kaszyski's responsibilities will include stormwater management design, floodplain analysis, infrastructure engineering and wastewater system improvements. He has more than 14 years of experience in hydraulics, hydrology, water distribution systems, infrastructure, and water quality.

Mr. Kaszyski received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania.
