Sunday Breakfast Mission Brownfield Project
Wins Award

This Brownfield redevelopment project showcases the effective partnership among a non-profit community services organization, state regulatory agencies, an environmental engineering/science firm and the construction delivery team. Duffield Associates was initially retained by the project’s construction manager to provide geotechnical services for the proposed Women and Children’s Annex construction. While preparing to conduct field work, Duffield Associates learned that the site was environmentally impacted, and advised the project team that the resolution of environmental issues at the property would be a necessary prerequisite to construction.Read

lot improvements pave way to minimize stormwater runoff. Duffield
Associates has been involved with the design and installation of porous
pavements in the region for many years. Porous pavements are a class of
surfaces that help to restore a more natural water cycle in urbanized
areas by allowing stormwater to infiltrate into the underlying subgrade,
rather than run off.
