Cumberland Geoscience Consultants’ Name Changes - Duffield Associates' Carlisle, Pennsylvania, subsidiary, Cumberland Geoscience Consultants (CGC), is now known as Duffield Associates, Inc. CGC was acquired by Duffield Associates in 2007 and has since grown to include the full range of Duffield Associates' services including geotechnical engineering, solid waste landfill consulting, natural and water resources, civil engineering, environmental services, coastal/waterfront engineering, construction review services, and permitting. ”The company will continue to operate in its location and the technical staff that have been our hallmark will remain unchanged,” says Guy F. Garry L. Brennan, P.E., S.E.O. has joined Duffield Associates’ Carlisle, Pennsylvania office as a Senior Project Manager. Mr. Brennan has twenty five years of experience in civil engineering projects including utility design, storm sewer and stormwater management projects, erosion and sediment control, permitting, construction management and project administration. He will have design and management responsibility for civil and water resources projects. Mr. Brennan is a registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and West Virginia. He is also a Sewage Enforcement Officer in Pennsylvania. |

Duffield Associates Wins Army Corps Contract - Duffield Associates was recently awarded a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Philadelphia District contract. This one-year Indefinite Delivery Contract, with options for up to two additional periods, is for geotechnical and geo-environmental technical services. “We have provided services throughout the Mid-Atlantic states with a large percentage of our work performed throughout the Philadelphia District boundaries and the Delaware River Basin. We are able to assist the Corps using our nearly 35 years of knowledge of the Piedmont and Coastal Plain geology of the geographic area defining the District’s boundaries. With six offices within their boundaries, we are able to respond from any one of these offices,” said Guy Marcozzi, President of Duffield Associates. “This is a huge honor for us. We held this contract for two consecutive three year periods ending nearly six years ago. We’re glad to have retained the Corps’ confidence to have been selected again.” |
