Lewes Canalfront Park
Development pressure in the City of Lewes threatened to convert
an historic boatyard into condominiums. To preserve the site,
the City acquired the parcel and incorporated a new canalfront
park into their master plan. Duffield Associates provided
civil, environmental, structural, and geotechnical engineering
and construction review services for the project's design
architect. Park elements include: a waterfront boardwalk;
a fishing pier; floating docks; a restroom facility; shade
arbor; walkways, and landscaped areas.
This project won the 2008 Conceptor Award from the American
Council of Engineering Companies - Delaware. More
